Naughty Dog has just announced that a new Uncharted game will be making it’s way to the PlayStation 4, along with a very short teaser video.
So many questions…who is the narrator? Other than being voiced by Todd Stashwick, we don’t know if it’s a new main character, or a new villain, seeking revenge on Drake for betraying him perhaps?
As for the setting – Uncharted ‘4’ (since there is no number in the title or subtitle yet) looks like it will use the legendary pirate utopia of Libertatia. Here are the clues from the trailer:
- The pirate map motif
- The map pans until it eventually reaches Madagascar, where there is marking on the island called I. St Mary, or Île Sainte-Marie. This island was the rumoured site of Libertatia.
- The map also has the phrase ‘for God and Liberty’, which also happens to be one of the mottos of said pirate utopia.
That’s my guess for now but all the clues seem to add up.
