MG ZZ Gundam Ver.Ka

I always look forward to building ver.Ka kits because everything you need for it is in the box (looking at you Gundam Decals!). When the ZZ Gundam was announced back in 2017, I knew I had to pick one up for Christmas.

While the design and colours are hit and miss for some people, I actually really like the pseudo-Super Robot design. I feel that this kit is also an engineering marvel that needs to be experienced. It’s amazing to see a fully functional transformation system that doesn’t compromise the integrity of the kit. Sure there are some drawbacks like the waist being unable to turn much, but it’s an otherwise solid build that won’t fall apart.

My only complaints, is that the ankles feel a bit weak; I broke the pegs on mine, and needed replacement parts. That and the kit is HARD to pose. The beam rifle is massive and gets in the way alot of the time, and the iconic High Mega Cannon pose is extremely tough to get right without it looking goofy.
