I must have the most boring WIP’s ever.
So yeah, blue and red parts finally done. The blue was pretty much straight out the manual which is:
- 80% cobalt blue
- 20% bright blue
- bit of white
My first coat wasn’t great, so I added more cobalt blue, a bit of fluro pink and more white for shading. In the end I’m happy with the result I guess, even though it’s still a bit dark for my tastes, it should lighten up after the flat coat is on.
Red parts were done with 100% Monza Red (Red Madder). I added white for shading.
My masking wasn’t so great so the red didn’t get the nice line I was looking for. I’m not sure how this will look on the final product yet, but it won’t be hard to paint over the white anyway.
Anyway, what’s left:
- Paint the black strips on the white armour parts
- Painting yellow parts
- Painting internal frame. I’m going to skip some of the parts for once, because they’ll never see the light of day.
- Painting the eyes
- Painting the orange ‘God Finger’ hands
