MG Wing Zero Custom: WIP Part 4

Another short update on the MG WZC build. Blue parts and internal frame have now been painted!

More pics after jump.

Blue was preshaded as well. I used Gunze Blue as a base, followed by some combination of Cobalt Blue + Bright Blue + drop of Red + drop of White. After this coat, I added more white to the combination to give further shading. It’s not as noticable as the white, and my crappy Iphone camera doesn’t exactly help.

Lower torso…still need to paint the front piece.

As you can see, the colour scheme isn’t the straight WZC one. I like parts of the original Ka scheme better and will be using some of it on mine. I don’t any concept lineart done, so you’ll just have to wait to see the final product.

Sadly I also broke one of the buster rifles. The right one was bent outwards slightly, and so I decided to try fix it by heating it with a hairdryer back into place. Unfortunately I used too much heat and it bent too much, wrecking it.

Comparison shot…pictures aren’t that great, but first one is painted (except for red parts)

What’s left

  • Panel lining on parts
  • Painting red and gold/yellow parts
  • Decals
  • Glue, sanding the wings down and painting
  • Flat coat
