Stage 25 – New Visitors

Another person finally has the 300 PP for Continuous Action, this time it’s Tieria.

Note: As a fore word to this stage, I highly recommend equipping any SP restoring items to Nova Eagle and any morale boosting items.  You’re going to need them.

Stage 25: New Visitors

The crew from Gundam SEED Destiny are just on a routine patrol in space when suddenly…

OZ Mobile Suits show up…

…….

*sigh*

4 Turns to destroy all enemies, leaving the Rhino DAMON for last.

For now, it’s just the 4 heroes versus 16 DMs.  That’s okay, since we have JESUS Yamato on our side.

Lunamaria doesn’t have concentrate, so she has to take a hit. Phase shift seems to be doing a decent job of keeping her alive though…for now.

End of turn 1. Pretty much concentrate on everyone, and rushing straight into the mob.

I manage to get 2 kills in the enemy phase…

Camille and Fa show up.

Turn 2.  About 1/2 the enemies have moved up.

After a few more kills (in enemy phase 2)…

ZEXIS finally shows up.

Turn 3.

End of turn 3.  I send Kira and Athrun to whittle down the Rhino, while the ZEXIS crew move up to mop up the grunts. I give kills to Setsuna and Aoi, because the need the morale to activate their Continuous Action.

Turn 4.  The problem now is the few enemies near the center of the map where Impulse is. It ran out of energy during the enemy turn and couldn’t really counterattack anything. Also what I didn’t realize was that the Rhino Damon actually has small HP regen.

End of turn 4.  It was a bit tight, but thanks to Continuous Action on the Nova Eagle and Exia, I’ve managed to kill everything except one DM on the left side and the Rhino DAMON.  The Rhino is also down to red, so he’ll definately die during the counterattack.

The Rhino goes for Kira during the enemy turn…

JESUS YAMATO FOR THE WIN

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

At this point, I had saved right before the end of my turn, so having moved all of my units I couldn’t undo anything. My level 99 Sumeragi/Ptolemy had the ‘Move Again’ magic, but I only had enough SP to cast it once, so I couldn’t kill both the DM and the Rhino in my turn. I literally tried everything…casting morale down on the Rhino, analyze, resetting a billion times until he scored a critical hit. I even tried casting Move again on Kira and moving him out of range, in which case the Rhino went for Athrun, who just didn’t have enough EN for his strongest attack. Everything came up short in the end.

Time for a….

RAGE RESTART

End of turn 1. This time I’ve tried to spread out the SEED crew a bit more to cover more ground.

Camille shows up on turn 2 like last time. Fa goes far far away, as she is totally useless against the MDs.

End of turn 2.

ZEXIS during the end of enemy phase 2 like last time too.

It’s turn 3. The main difference between this run is that I’ve left the Rhino completely alone for now, and that Impulse is much further to the right side of the map as opposed to last time. That way instead of running out of EN and becoming a paperweight, she can retreat to my main battle group and let them handle it.

End of turn 3. I’ve also spread out the ZEXIS deployment so that some guys are available to assist Zeta and Justice on the left side where most of the remaining enemies are.

Turn 4. Zeta and Justice have managed to kill 3 MDs on the left, leaving only 3 more. Now here is the part which gets a bit tricky. Unlike last time, I want to get the SR point in my turn, so there is no chance whatsoever of someone going wrong like last time and screwing me over.

The main damage dealers (being Exia and Dancouga) are still quite far away from the Rhino. Luckily they are both equipped with Continous Action.

  • Exia’s Seven Swords has a range of 5 (usually 4 but I have  a Haro on).
  • Exia kills one of the DMs, gets to move again.
  • Exia moves into range of the Rhino and does 7000 damage with Seven Swords

For the Nova Eagle…

  • Nova Eagle kills the other DM on the left side of the map, gets to move again.
  • I spam her +10 morale seishin until she can transform into Dancouga Nova.  Normally she only has enough SP for once, but this can be be overcome with using the SP items we equipped before the mission. (My Level 99 Sumeragi has the +50 SP to any pilot seishin, so that was my alternative).
  • Dancouga Nova casts accelerate, moves into range of Rhino and (hopefully) is in range for Dankuuken, dealing another 7000+.

Finally Allelujah in Kyrios Gundam, moves in waverider mode and does that multi-missile attack for around 3000.  This leaves the Rhino at around 3000HP.

On the left side,  Zeta takes care of the MD to the left with BEAM CONFUSE

Justice and S. Freedom take care of one each, just leaving the Rhino.

STAB STAB STAB

YES

But wait, there’s more!  A whole bunch of Vajra show up.

Here’s the map after the reinforcements show up.

Most of my hard hitters were up there dealing with the Rhino, so for the time being I’ve decided to retreat up until I can regroup.

The rest of the map is pretty simple compared to the shit storm of a SR point. I decided to level Fa up to level 99, so I send the Ptolemy straight into the Vajra attack group. Eventually the Vajra deplete the Ptolemy’s EN, which then it gets damaged to about 1/2 life. Fa heals it each time for 6 levels.

Finally, she reaches 99.

The Vajra are FREE compared to MDs.

After the last Vajra is destroyed, the stage ends.

Well, that was an unexpectedly hard stage. My advice to those out there is to make ZEXIS appear as soon as possible so you have ample time to get the SR Point. Camille will appear after 2 kills, and ZEXIS after another 2, so perhaps its better to focus fire down enemies instead of spreading damage.

I found that the easiest way to have the enemy ff on Ptolemy is: 1- Have every other unit you have inside the Macros Fort except Fa which needs to be inside Ptolemy. 2- Have the Fort as far away from Ptolemy BUT still within the range within the max moving space with any of your units that has Continous Attk*. 3- After the enemy units are done hammering your Ptolemy during their turn, on your turn just bring Fa out, repair Ptolemy, then call her back using Ptolemy’s action.

*Now in case a space next to Ptolemy would be taken by an enemy, call out the unit I specified, destroy the enemy, then get back in the Fort as your 2nd action.

Also I noticed that you can switch Fa and Camille so you can do the same trick and get Camille to Lv99 too. And other characters that can switch units with support characters.
