The year in review – 2015

For the greater part of last year up till now, you might’ve noticed that I haven’t been posting as much. For a while I kinda neglected the site as I kinda lost focus  as to what it was really all about. This years end brings a fresh beginning to the blog, as I start focusing on stuff that I create, rather than the news stuff I used to do. So with 2015 ending, here’s a shortish recap of the year for me.

Gaming

This year wasn’t much of a gaming year for me. The only notable game that I actually finished was the Witcher 3, whilst dabbling in a bit of Halo 5 multiplayer. I did hit Onyx in Slayer before taking a break.

Gunpla

Gunpla, Gunpla, Gunpla. If you were wondering why I haven’t been posting much or played any games this year, well…I built sixteen kits this year. Sixteen!  Fun fact – in this year alone, I’ve finished more kits than I have in the last 10 years combined. Thanks to the magic of Build Fighters, I built my first HG kit sometime in June and my first RG soon thereafter. I discovered that the build times on 1/144 scale kits were much faster than MGs and that could work on more than one kit at once. Now I’m actually swamped with a different kind of backlog, needing to go back and take pictures for many of these kits.  I may have to take a hiatus later in 2016, but until then I’m going to try go out taking out as much of my backlog as I can.

Blog update

What a better way to start a new year than to switch up the blog layout! I’ve been using iNove for over 7 years now, but since my posting habits and monitor resolutions have changed significantly since then, I decided to change over to something which could better showcase my work. Thankfully this new theme is pretty flexible, so I can easily change things up when needed.

What’s in store for 2016

Japan Holiday Mk4

I’m long overdue for a holiday so I’ll be heading to Japan for the 4th time early 2016. I’m hoping to stock up on tonnes of Gunpla as well as rare stuff like waterslide decals.

More Gunpla!

I don’t think I’ll get to sixteen kits, but I hope to be building one MG + 1/144 scale kit per month!

Uncharted 4

The only game I really care about, and one I guarantee will be spending a lot of time with. With sharing videos on the PlayStation 4 being so easy, I’ll be sure to upload alot of matches to the YouTube account.

Draw more

One of my long term goals that I set for mis to get into digital art. Unfortunately, progress has been extremely slow as I tend to spend too much time working on the same piece which limits how much I can learn. I hope to at least be able to get one or two pieces done next year.

Anyway, that’s all from me, Happy Holidays and see you in 2016!
