Stage 4 – Battlefield in Chaos

Upgrades!

I’ve got about about 90,000 credits, and I decide to put 3 points in Exia’s weapons, which costs a whopping 40,000.   I also put 3 points in mobility for both Exia and Blasta.

Stage 4:混沌の戦場 – Battlefield in Chaos

The stage starts out with Crow getting attacked by Trowa and Quatre.  The SR point is still ???? at this stage, so I just go ahead and attack Sandrock off the bat, casting Concentrate first.

It’s the end of my turn, but these guys have shit accuracy so they can’t touch Crow.   Heavyarms is too far to counterattack but at least Crow manages to dodge his attack.

Sandrock gets sniped to red life though.  This triggers an event in which CB shows up…

…followed by the AEU and guys from VOTOMs.

Crow and the Wing crew decide to put aside their differences for now, and join forces to fight the AEU.  Duo and Heero also show up to help out.

At the end of the enemy turn, Dancouga Nova shows up, in the top right of the map.  Sadly, not under your control.

Anyway, since these enemies popped up in the enemy turn, I couldn’t get a picture of the map until Turn 2.  Here’s what it looks like.

The SR Point is now revealed, and says to kill everyone, then Patrick, all within 3 turns.   Since the enemies and my team are quite well spread out throughout the map, I’ll split them into 3 groups to deal with the enemies near them.

Duo/Heero on the left side, Sandrock/HA/Crow down the middle (although the Wing boys are horribly out of position), and CB going down the right side.

I send Allelujah to attack Haiman in a fruitless exchange from both sides 🙁

Tieria has better luck, even evading with a 62% of getting hit.

I use Exia and Dynames to spread out the rest of the damage among the other enemies so I can defeat them all in the enemy phase.

Heero’s only has accelerate as a seishin for the moment (wtf?). I accidentally turn Wing into Bird mode and end his turn by mistake 🙁

My last move is to move Crow down the center to attack the middle group.  Guess my upgrades did some good, coz these Leo’s have 0% to hit Blasta.

As soon as I end my turn Dancouga Nova tries to steal one of my kills with a horribad 27% chance to hit a Scoop Dog.

He fails, but then the rest of the enemies start attacking him instead of CB!

Finally he lands a hit from couterattacks and manages to pulverize Haiman.  It also seems that when the AI Dancouga is on low HP, it’ll get full health back automatically.

The rest of the team gets to work, slowly reducing the enemy numbers and HP.

The AEU Helions start moving, but Patrick decides to be a dick and stay right where he is.

I’m starting to worry about that SR Point now, so I now send all of my guys to move towards Patrick.  Grunts will kill themselves during the enemy turn.

As a bonus CB manages to kill all except one of their allocated grunts, Tieria also levels, giving him the Invincible seishin.

I manage to get in range of Patrick with Crow at least.  At my 100% vs his 0%, he’s got nothing on Crow. I manage to take off more than 1/2 his life in 1 shot.

In the enemy phase, all the grunts get destroyed by the rest of my team.  I let Patrick live so Setsuna can brutalize him on my turn.

Of course, I let Setsuna do the honours.

What?! No SR Point?

Okay, it turns out that Patrick had to die by enemy turn 3, and not within 3 turns of him appearing.  I rage reset, and this time, Crow lands the final blow on the counterattack.

Again, no SR point.  Turns out there was Scoop Dog left over which Dancouga had ‘missed’ earlier and I forgot about.  Again I rage reset over and over, until Dancouga manages to land the attack and kill the guy.

Oh and Patrick gets blown up.  The end.

The Wing boys decide to part ways after Patrick retreats, and there’s another choice for a route split:

Go after CB (lets you recruit Dancouga Nova / Getter)

Head to area 11 (lCode Geass /Gundam Wing / VOTOMs)

I select the CB route, which brings the stage to a close.
