Stage 46 – Embodiment of Evil

Virtue gets the full upgrade treatment, and gets +100 EN.

Is this the stage where Zuul finally makes his move?

Stage 46: Embodiment of Evil

Once again we get 20 units to deploy.

The SR Point is a little tricky. We have till the end of turn 3 player phase to destroy all enemies then Waaru last.

Here’s the map at the start. The asteroid field at the right side could get annoying.

Just die already.

End of turn 1.

Turn 2. Most of the enemies move in, except the back row of ships.

Setsuna goes on a carving spree, chopping up two ships at the back.

Near the end of turn 2, I’ve defeated all other enemies except Waara and I still have DanNova, Alto, Amuro and Allelujah left.

DanNova takes out Waaru for an easy SR Point.

ZUUUUUL

Zuul ‘dismisses’ his loyal subject Waaru.

And he transports everyone to a different dimension.

Lots of random bosses surround the team. The worst part? There are actually TWO Zuuls on the map, at opposite sides.

End of turn 2.

Turn 3. It was a hard turn as most of my guys at the north were not prepared for enemy reinforcements. Trowa got attacked several times and barely survived.

Zuul. He’s like Darth Vader AND Emperor Palpatine in one.

I defeat the Zuul on the right side by spamming Amuro’s Move Again/Hot Blood combo. He goes down in 4 Fin Funnel attacks.

So near the end of turn 3, I’ve defeated everything except the final Zuul and I’ve still got a few of my guys left to go.

For the grand finale I morale down Zuul to 50 morale.

WHAAAAAAAT

SHIT SHIT SHIT that wasn’t the real Zuul. And I wasted all my morale down SP already. And all my guys are used up. FUUUUUUUUUUUUU

End of turn 3.

Real Zuul is fucking hax, at level 65, he has small HP regen, medium EN regen, Move Again, All canceller (no status effect), S in all Terrain. He also has a weapon which paralyses whatever it hits, and the counter skill, so do not get hit NO MATTER WHAT. Oh when you DPS him down to 30% he casts confusion, halving all accuracy.

The Zuul takes 2 turns and sends the Shuttle to hell :S.

Turn 4. It turns out I actually forgot about 2 Big Vajra at the top and bottom. I can’t afford to divert my forces to kill them with Zuul floating around though.

Okay, despite having wasted all my morale down seishin and the shuttle going down, I’m confident I can down Zuul down in 1 turn.

TRANS-AM

He drops a nice wad of cash and a Hero’s Mark.

Setsuna also jumps 8 levels and learns Move Again. Hax.

I’m not sure exactly what happens, but it looks to me like Takeru decided to blow himself up to take out Zuul.

The team is returned to normal space, and not suprisingly Godmars survives.
