Stage 24 – Strange Pursuers

No real phat loots or money last stage, but thats okay since we have 5 level 99 pilots now.  When the time comes, sub orders will give a cool 247,500.

 

Skipping through all the dialogue, there’s now another option for a route split.  The top option is ‘Continue Assisting the UN’. You get the following series:

The second option is ‘Go to Space’ :

第24話:相容れぬ遂行者

Stage 24: Strange Pursuers

 

You can deploy your entire squad of 12 units for this mission. I haven’t used most of the Macross F crew before, so I hope they don’t get torn to bits by MDs.

 

It’s a bit hard to see, but there are 14 DMs on the map, and we’ve got till end of player phase 3 to finish them all for the SR point.

 

End of turn 1.

 

Turn 2.  I managed to defeat 4 DMs during the enemy phase.

 

End of turn 2.  I’ve only managed to defeat 1 DM this turn.

 

Turn 3.  This time I killed a ton of DMs during counterattacks, so only 4 remain now.

 

And it’s another easy SR point.

 

But the mission is not quite over yet, as the HRL shows up with a rather big force. A couple of Tierens get mysteriously destroyed though…

 

GOT HYPE?

 

Team Trinity, the bastards of Celestial Being show up, along with R Daigun (also a bastard).

 

Here’s the map after they show up.  Team Trinity are friendly, but you can’t control them.

 

Team Trinity do their own shit after your turn. They aren’t that great, except they steal your kills!

 

End of turn 3.  I managed to get a few kills with Osma (who BTW comes with Continous Action by default and is fucking hax) but the rest of the enemies are just too far away.

 

Turn 4.  All the enemies move in to attack.

 

End of Turn 4.  It’s pretty much an easy sweep as I move in on the enemies.

 

At this point I stopped bothering to take screenshots (Okay I lost them 🙁 ), but it was 4 enemies left in my phase and I swept them pretty easily.

 

After the enmies are defeated, Team Trinity and RDaigun leave. Well, that was kinda a waste of a stage. Other than the introduction of Team Trinity, nothing really happened, and it feels like a filler mission.
