Stage 10 – Pierce the Heavens With Your Drill!

Now we got a real army of Super Robots…and only 69,000 credits to upgrade them all 🙁

The cash goes to Mazinger Z mostly.

And some to Daiguard.  Because I like his music.

Stage 10: Pierce the Heavens With Your Drill!

Yep, definately Gurren Lagann mission, 1st episode to be exact.

Yokoooo <3

When you finally get control,  it’s just Lagann vs the other ugly robot “Gunmen” thing.

It takes a good 3 turns of this shit before Simon finally puts the Gunmen down.

Simon drills the shit out of him and he ends up on the surface.

A ton of enemies show up (13 to be exact) and the turn counter resets to 1.  The SR point says to defeat everyone by the end of enemy phase 3.

It took many many resets before Simon survived the enemy turn.  Sure I could’ve ran away or blocked everything, but what’s the fun in that?

On Turn 2 an event occurs.

Yes, my army of Super Robots has arrived to dish out the pain.

For the first time in the game you’ll actually have more units than you can sortie.  You’ve got 14 units and can deploy a maximum of 12.

I pretty much take all the Supers, CB, Crow.  I left out some guys, I think they were from Godmars or something.

Here’s what Turn 2 looks like (minus the 1 guy that I already killed before I remember to take the screenshot). I use Simon’s heal 100% seishin and get him the fuck out of there.

End of my turn.

Allelujah gets to level 12 and gets Accelerate.

Turn 3.  Setsuna and Allelujah pretty much tanked the entire enemy forces by themselves.

To make sure we get the SR point, just make sure you spread out all your damage amongst all enemies so that counterattacks kill them in the enemy phase.  Here’s the set up I have at the end of my turn which will hopefully work.  I kept Simon, Ptolemiaos etc away because either their damage or range is too low, and I need to kill every enemy in the counterattack.

Not pictured, SR Point fail because one of them goes and attacks Ptolemy :S   DaiGuard also fails because of it’s crappy range.

Finally after a couple of tries.

While not really a hard stage, the SR point requires some planning if you want to get it.  Just remember to spread the damage, and keep units which have low damage or really low range out of the way and you should be okay.
