Hawken brings some giant robots action back to the West
Ever since the departure of Mechwarrior, there’s been a severe drought of giant robot games in the West. That is, until Hawken by Adhesive Games comes out. Tagged as a “Mech Combat FPS”, Hawken combines the mechanical design of Mechwarrior, the furious pace of Virtual On, all from a first person perspective.
The game has only been in development for around 12 months, but already looks absolutely amazing running on the Unreal 3 engine (as you’ll see in some of the videos below). Adhesive Games aren’t sure which platform the game will be released on yet, but they are aiming for PC, PS3 and 360. I’ll definately be keeping an eye out for Hawken in the future.
